All the Gtalk users are aware of the ‘Custom Message Bar’ right at the top of the Gtalk tool page above the list of our friends on Gtalk. In this bar, depending upon our individual tastes and preferences, we can write whatever we wish like-any favorite quote, one-liners, any message or we simply use it to signify our status online at that particular moment with various options like ‘busy’, ‘idle’ or ‘available’. Therefore, its also known as ’status message’.

Now, Twitter2gTalk is a simple web service that sets your tweets as the ’status/away’ message on Gtalk.

The procedure is quite simple. To begin with, you have to ‘login’ and fill up the ’settings’ form. After filling in the basic details, just click on the ’submit’ option and you are good to go thereafter. Updates on this app are available every 30 minutes. Tweets that start with ‘@’ will not be sent to Gtalk.
