Quick Way To Transfer Data From iPod To PC

Often while using an Apple device (like an iPod, iPhone, iPad etc.) we transfer file to the PC using iTunes. Without iTunes, transfer is impossible. Apple developed this “flaw” so that there is no unauthorized transfer of music and even to reduce piracy. But, how can other developers be far behind.

They cashed-in on this opportunity, and decided to make a software that enables transfer easy and fast. One such software that we are reviewing today is, CopyTrans. CopyTrans is a Windows-only program that scans the contents of your iPod, iPhone, or iPad and allows you to either archive it or import it into iTunes. The process is easy; connect your iPod, wait for CopyTrans to scan it, choose your transfer settings, and then sit back while CopyTrans does its thing. Currently, version 4 is available of the same. So this shows that they are constantly upgrading their software and adding new features.

Other features of CopyTrans are listed below:-

  • Transfer iPod music, videos, podcasts, audiobooks, movies, home made videos and ringtones directly to iTunes
  • Import iPhone videos, podcasts, audiobooks, movies, TV-shows and ringtones to their iTunes categories
  • Backup iPod podcasts to iTunes including subscriptions
  • 100% duplicate proof. No iPhone duplicates in iTunes
Various other features that got us hooked to this software was that users can actually transfer folders from iPod to PC, rename files, organize tracks and also create new folders for different moods and tastes etc.
Currently, the software is compatible with all iPod models namely, iPhone (3G,3GS, 4), iPod, iPod Touch, iPad etc. It runs only on Windows, which is a drawback. Minimum system requirements are: 128 MB RAM, Designed for Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7, iPhone drivers must be installed. The software is available in two languages (English & Korean).
For downloading (it’s a small 2.5 MB file), click on download now (displayed clearly on the home page). Once you click on it, a file download will start and it will prompt you to specify the location for saving the file. A snapshot shown below captures the appearance of the dialog box.
Once the setup file is saved, open the installation wizard and follow the instructions. It’s simple, easy and fast. Try it out, it’s very helpful.
